Workshop on Earthquake PSA and SMA was held in Beijing
NSC organized a workshop on Earthquake PSA and SMA of NPPs in 5-7 March 2012 in Beijing, China. Over 90 participants from NNSA, Regional Offices, technical supporting organizations, research institutions, as well as relevant NPPs attended the event.
An expert from the Simpson Gumpertz&Heger Company of the USA, Mr. Wen-How Tong, was invited to present on topics of earthquake PSA, methods on seismic vulnerability assessment, seismic margin analysis, PRA-based SMA, earthquake PSA and SMA application, as well as regulatory requirements by the US NRC after the Fukushima accident, etc.
